Carbon Fiber Bonnet / Hood

The factory Mk1 Mini bonnet weighs 13 lb / 5.9 kg. The Rogue Se7ens carbon fiber replacement weighs 3 lb / 1.4 kg. That is a 77% reduction — 10 lb / 4.5 kg removed from the nose of the car in a single part swap.

The effect is immediately felt. Less mass over the front axle improves front-to-rear balance, reduces load on the front tires under braking, and lightens steering feel.

The Rogue Se7ens bonnet is produced in street laminate as standard — UV-stable clear coat finish, built for daily use and regular road exposure. Race laminate is available on request for competition builds where every gram matters.

Mounting: The bonnet is supplied with carbon fiber hinge brackets, which replace the factory steel hinges and contribute to the overall weight saving. Front retention requires either mounting pins or hood straps — these are not supplied and should be sourced to match your build specification. Pins are the preferred option for competition use; straps are more practical for a street-driven car opened regularly. As with any lightweight bonnet, ensure front retention is secure and tested before road or track use.
